Is QuizzRanked free to play?
Yes. QuizzRanked is free to play on web, iOS and Android. It’s cosmetics-only — you can collect themed card sets and titles, but nothing you buy affects the answers or the outcome of a duel.
How does the ranking work?
Every ranked duel updates a hidden skill rating (Glicko-2). Your first five duels are placement, then you’re shown a league and division — Bronze up to Grand Master — with League Points inside each. Win to climb; the tougher the opponent you beat, the more you gain.
Is it really fair? How do you stop cheating?
Both players always get the identical questions, and all timing and scoring happen on the server — the app only reports which option you tapped. Replays of every ranked match are kept for statistical cheat detection, and suspicious patterns are flagged for review.
Can I play with friends?
Yes — add friends, challenge them to a 1v1 duel, or team up for 2v2 where two mirrored lanes are summed for your team. You can also create private tournaments.
What are the game modes?
Ranked 1v1, Casual 1v1, ranked and casual 2v2, and asynchronous single-elimination tournaments you play at your own pace. Choose a subject — general knowledge, football, geography, history, cinema, anime or mental maths.
Do I need to create an account?
You can start playing instantly with just a display name. A recovery code lets you get back into a name-only account, and social sign-in options are rolling out.
What languages is it available in?
The interface and the questions are available in English, Spanish and French.
